General

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm bookings.

Send us any important project details you might have such as instrumentation, demos, recording process, references, sample rate/bit depth, deadlines, etc.

Sessions may be rescheduled with no penalty if at least two weeks notice is provided. The penalty for last-minute reschedules is a forfeiture of the initial deposit. Exceptions have been made for extenuating circumstances, so check with your engineer if you need to reschedule last-minute.

Payment is required in full before any media will be released to you.

Conveyor reserves the right to eject individuals from the studio or cancel sessions for disrespectful and/or damaging behavior.

Overtime on sessions is permitted depending on studio and engineer availability and typically billed at 1.5x the session rate.

Tracking

Provide your preferred sample rate, bit rate, and any other technical specifications with at least 24 hours notice to your engineer.

If no preferences are provided, your recordings will most likely be at 48khz, 24bit.

Commonly used inputs like the piano, drum kit, electric guitar, bass and room mics are typically set up and ready to go with minimal adjustments before each session. We do not guarantee additional set ups before your session start time, however informing your engineer of any additional inputs or unusual setup requests with at least 24 hours notice will greatly streamline session preparation.

You may add additional hours to your session at the same hourly rate with no additional surcharge if you inform your engineer with at least 72 hours notice before your session. Adding time to your session within 72 hours will be subject to an overtime fee of 1.5x your hourly rate. All scheduling changes are conditional to engineer and studio availability.

We recommend dedicating at least 30 minutes to file management (file backups, rough bounces, hard drive transfers, etc.) before your session ends.

Mixing

Provide your preferred sample rate, bit rate, and any other technical specifications to your engineer.

If no preferences are provided, your mixes will be delivered at 48khz, 24bit and 320kbps mp3.

After the first mix pass, there will be two (2) revisions included before additional revision charges are added.

When providing mix feedback, collect all feedback for all songs from all parties in one place, preferably into an email.

Once a mix is delivered, you’ll have 48 hours to reply with notes before the mix will be considered finalized.

In most cases editing, extensive audio repair (e.g. iZotope Rx), and tuning are not including in mixing and will be billed additionally at the studio hourly rate. Mastering is not included with mixing.

Mastering

Provide your preferred sample rate, bit rate, and any other technical specifications to your engineer.

If no preferences are provided, your masters will be delivered at 48khz, 24bit and 320kbps mp3.
